BLACKPINK’s ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ Surpasses 300 Million Views! Renews Previously Existing Record Among Girl Groups

BLACKPINK’s MV ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 300 million views on YouTube, becoming the fastest MV by a girl group to hit 300 million views. As of May 14, at 3 AM, the MV ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 300 million views. The record was achieved in 11 months since the MV was first revealed on June 22, 2017. The previous record among girl groups was 1 year and 2 months, and BLACKPINK proved their status once again by shortening the existing record by 3 months.

As the MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpasses 300 million views following ‘BOOMBAYAH’, BLACKPINK set a milestone by becoming the first female artist in Korea to have 2 MVs with over 300 million views.

The MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ previously became the fastest video by a K-Pop girl group to surpass 10 million views, by achieving the record in 17 hours since its release. Furthermore, the video was chosen as the ‘Most Loved K-Pop Video in 2017’, firmly establishing BLACKPINK’s global status as a top-class K-Pop girl group.

YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK shared the news of BLACKPINK’s new record and a congratulatory poster on his social media, expressing his happiness. He also added hashtags that states, “I will definitely carry out all 10 wishes by the fan club, BLINK”, “Good news coming soon”, and “BLACKPINK will be making comeback soon”, raising expectations on the group’s upcoming comeback.

BLACKPINK rewrote K-Pop history once again, and firmly established themselves as a top-class K-Pop girl group.

Currently, BLACKPINK has the record of having the first debut single to reach 300 million views. Also, all 5 MVs released since debut including ‘WHISTLE’, ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’, ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’, and ‘STAY’ surpassed 100 million views.

Like the group’s nickname ‘view count fairies’, BLACKPINK’s first exclusive reality show ‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’ surpassed 100 million views in approximately 4 months, which is an unparalleled record for an idol reality program.
