This is the Age of BLACKPINK’s ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’… 70 Million Views in 5 Days

YG's Girl Group ‘BLACKPINK’ is setting milestones.
The MV for the title song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ from their first mini album ‘SQUARE UP’ surpassed 70 million views on June 20 at 6:23 PM, in 5 days since the song was released.

YG Entertainment stated, “It’s a new record among girl groups set in 120 hours, and is 5 times faster than the previous record of 25 days set by BLACKPINK’s ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’.

BLACKPINK’s MV for the song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ surpassed 10 million views in the first 6 hours since its release, 20 million views in 13 hours, 30 million views in 23 hours, 40 million views in 27 hours, 50 million views in 50 hours, and 60 million views in 82 hours, sweeping all pre-existing records hold by K-Pop girl groups

They are also doing well ob music charts. The song swept real-time and daily charts in 8 music platforms including Melon, Mnet, Genie, Bugs, Soribada, Olleh, Naver Music, and Monkey 3.

The group is also being highlighted in foreign markets. Their album was placed at no. 1 on iTunes Album Charts in 44 different countries, as soon as they made comeback. They also topped Japan Oricon’s Digital Album Chart and Recochoku’s Album Daily Rankings.

Furthermore, BLACKPINK topped the Comprehensive New Releases Chart, Comprehensive MV Chart, and KPOP MV Chart on QQ Music, which is China’s largest music platform.
