Fastest Record in K-Pop Girl Group History... BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ Surpasses 400 Million Views

BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ became the fastest record to surpass 400 million views in K-Pop girl group history.

The MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 400 million views on YouTube as of September 21 at 12 PM. To celebrate the news, YG Entertainment uploaded a congratulatory poster through their official blog.

The MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ released last year on June surpassed 400 million views in 1 year and 3 months since its release. It is the fastest record in K-Pop girl group history. The new record by BLACKPINK shortened the pre-existing record by 8 months, proving BLACKPINK’s global popularity as the ‘YouTube Queens’.


The MV for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ previously reached 10 million views in 17 hours since its release, setting the fastest record in K-Pop girl group history. Also, the video was selected as ‘The Most Loved K-Pop Video in the World’ last year by YouTube. By surpassing 300 million views in 11 months after its release, BLACKPINK set another milestone and shortened the pre-existing record by 3 months

BLACKPINK’s YouTube power has been proven through various videos, not just ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’. The MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ released on June surpassed 300 million views on YouTube in 68 days, allowing the group to hold the fastest record in K-Pop boy and girl group history. Also, the ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ dance practice video recently surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, proving BLACKPINK’s global influence.

All 6 videos released by BLACKPINK since they made debut on August 8, 2016 including ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘WHISTLE’, ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’, ‘STAY’, ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’, and ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ have over 100 million views on YouTube, proving BLACKPINK’s market power. BLACKPINK is also the K-Pop group with the ‘most number of subscriber’ on YouTube, as they have recently surpassed 10 million subscribers on YouTube. The group was awarded the ‘Diamond Creator Award’ by YouTube for the ‘first time as a girl group’.

After establishing themselves as the ‘representative girl group of K-Pop’, BLACKPINK is now preparing to hold their first ever solo concert in Seoul. On November 10 at 6 PM and on November 11 at 5 PM, BLACKPINK will hold the ‘BLACKPINK 2018 TOUR [IN YOUR AREA] SEOUL X BC CARD’ in KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) and have a special meeting with the fans.
