“YG’s monstrous rookie is coming”… Countdown for BLACKPINK’s debut "ROSÉ"

A D-5 countdown poster of BLACKPINK, YG’s first new girl group in seven years, has been unveiled.

BLACKPINK will be releasing their debut video on August 8 at 8 p.m. KST. Also, the group will be performing on SBS’s “Inkigayo” on August 14.

On August 2 at 10AM, YG unveiled BLACKPINK’s debut countdown poster on the company’s official blog.

The D-5 poster is catching the eyes with the innocent and dreamlike image of BLACKPINK’s member ROSÉ. ROSÉ is looking into the front, in a white T-shirt and blue jean jacket, as well as long light-brown hair.

BLACKPINK drew keen attention from music fans when a poster that confirmed the date of their debut for August 8 was unveiled on July 29. As the countdown for BLACKPINK’s debut has begun, music fans’ anticipation for the team’s debut is growing even higher. Plus, for ROSÉ’s image was unveiled for the beginning of the countdown, the images of the other members are expected to be unveiled in following posters.

BLACKPINK has four members: JENNIE, JISOO, LISA, and ROSÉ. YG’s main producer TEDDY who has produced numerous hit songs of 2NE1 and BIGBANG wrote and directed all the songs in BLACKPINK’s debut album. The team has recently completed shooting for music videos and four famous foreign choreographers are known to be working on the dance of the debut song. So, many music fans are expressing big anticipation for BLACKPINK’s music and performance.

BLACKPINK is known to be an outstandingly talented girl group with average 19-year-old members who have been hard-trained by YG for four to six years. The team is making debut on August 8.
