BLACKPINK also kept their top position on Japan’s iTunes Comprehensive Album Chart for 5 consecutive days. Furthermore, the group proved the love and support by Japanese fans by topping Oricon’s Digital Album Weekly Chart. They are also placed at no. 1 on Recochoku’s Album Daily Rankings for June 19.

BLACKPINK’s popularity among local fans in Japan seems to represent the high anticipation on BLACKPINK’s upcoming arena tour in Japan.

‘BLACKPINK ARENA TOUR 2018’, which was originally scheduled to start on July 24 in Osaka and end with a total of 6 concerts in 3 cities, was confirmed to extend by adding 1 more concert on the tour due to the requests by fans.

BLACKPINK officially made debut in Japan by opening a debut showcase on July 2017 at Japan Budokan, an arena that can hold 15,000 audiences. All tickets for the debut showcase were sold out, while over 200,000 people entered to buy tickets.
