BLACKPINK’s Showcase Surpasses 10 Million Hearts and 450,000 Views on V Live

YG Entertainment’s new girl group, BLACKPINK, has released their music videos for the first time via V Live.

The music videos have surpassed 450,000 simultaneous views, reflecting the high expectations for the group’s debut.

On August 8, BLACKPINK’s debut showcase was broadcasted live on Naver’s V Live.

At the showcase, the music videos and behind-the-scenes videos of BLACKPINK’s debut singles of—“BOOMBAYA” and “WHISTLE”—were released to the public for the first time.


After the music videos were released, BLACKPINK members went up on the stage and described their feelings about debuting. The press conference that took place afterwards was not broadcasted.

However, the thirty-minute debut showcase posted 457,596 simultaneous views and received 10,129,277 hearts as of 3:40 PM, demonstrating the public’s great interest in the group.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s debut singles will be released at 8 PM on August 8.
