The source stated, “We are actively in contact with a number of leading American record labels regarding BLACKPINK. It looks as though we will be able to announce some good news in the near future.”

However, the source added, “Since BLACKPINK has returned after a yearlong hiatus, for now, their domestic promotions come first. Because they had plenty of time to prepare, they’ve already finished recording their next title track. Please look forward to it.”

As previously mentioned by YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk, BLACKPINK has reportedly received a great deal of interest from American music producers and industry representatives. The group’s latest hit “DDU-DU DDU-DU” also became the highest-charting song by any K-pop girl group in history on Billboard’s famous Hot 100 chart earlier this week.
