BLACKPINK’s “WHISTLE” MV Surpasses 100 Million Views in the Shortest Time

The music video of BLACKPINK’s debut song “WHISTLE” recorded more than 100 million views on YouTube.

On April 15, the official music video of BLACKPINK’s “WHISTLE” posted 100,008,337 views on YouTube in just eight months after release.

When it was released, the “WHISTLE” MV had dominated the realtime, daily, and weekly charts for 16 days in a row. Furthermore, the song took the No.1 spot on the iTunes chart of 14 countries, demonstrating BLACKPINK’s possibility in the global market.



Earlier on, the “BOOMBAYAH” MV surpassed the 100 million view mark in just five months after release. Now that the group’s “PLAYING WITH FIRE” and “WHISTLE” MVs passed the same mark, BLACKPINK has three music videos over 100 million views in just eight months after debut.

BLACKPINK is the first rookie to have three music videos over 100 million views in the first year, and it achieved this in the shortest time.
